Terms & Conditions

DC Bus Trip Terms (7/8/2023) 

Departure dates and times are subject to change. Ebenezer Baptist Church and its agents (Church) are not responsible for delays in connections caused by conditions beyond its reasonable control including, but not limited to, breakdowns, equipment failure, accidents, and road, traffic or weather conditions. Church shall not be liable for, and expressly disclaims responsibility for, any loss, damage delay, or expense arising as a result of such condition. Accommodations for elderly passengers or passengers with a disability, seating is on a first come/first served basis and is without regard to race, color, creed, national origin or any other protected characteristic. Customers are required to be at the departure site at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time.

BAGGAGE/PERSONAL BELONGINGS:

Church does not check bags. Church is not liable for baggage, the contents of baggage, or personnel belongings. Passengers are expected to keep their personnel belongings, especially valuables such as cell phones, tablets, laptops in their possession at all times while travelling. The Church is not liable for any lost, stolen or damaged personnel belongings. All baggage must be claimed promptly upon arrival at the destination.

The Church and its agents does not assume any liability for lost, stolen or damaged baggage and/or personal property. Church is not responsible for any items left on the bus after a passenger(s) has disembarked the bus and/or at the destination or conclusion of the trip. Passengers shall be responsible for their own personal property and baggage. Church shall not be liable for any injuries to a passenger or passengers caused by or resulting from the falling or shifting of baggage while in transit.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK:

I have read and understand the above information. I hereby choose to accept the risk of traveling on this trip for myself and/or my children.

 

WAIVER OF LAWSUIT/LIABILITY:

I hereby forever release and waive my right to bring suit against Ebenezer Baptist Church and its officers, directors, managers, officials, trustees, agents, employees. I understand that this waiver means I give up my right to bring any claims against Ebenezer Baptist Church and/or its agents including for personal injuries, death, disease, lost wages, property losses, or any other loss, including but not limited to claims of negligence and I give up any claim I may have to seek damages against Ebenezer Baptist Church and/or its agents, whether know or unknown, foreseen or unforeseen.

CHOICE OF LAW:

I understand and agree that the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia will apply to this agreement.

BY PARTICIPATING IN THIS EVENT, I CERTIFY THAT I HAVE CAREFULLY READ AND FULLY UNDERSTAND ALL PROVISIONS OF THIS RELEASE, AND FREELY AND KNOWINGLY ASSUME THE RISK AND WAIVE MY RIGHTS CONCERNING LIABILITY AS DESCRIBED ABOVE.
